**Signalization Division - Entry Level Groundsman / Laborer (Rochester, NY; Syracuse)**
Entry Level Groundman / Laborer
As a Groundman/Laborer you will be expected to perform tasks involving physical labor for Traffic Signal and Highway Lighting construction projects. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
* Install cones and signs adhering to a Traffic Management Plan
* Spotting for operators during excavations.
* Looking out for operators and technicians while performing aerial work.
* Extensive physical labor is required and will include but is not limited to digging with a hand shovel, raking, saw cutting etc.
* Carrying, moving, and lifting materials
* Loading of construction debris, general site cleaning and maintenance
* Will train in flagging operations and work zone traffic control
**REQUIREMENTS:**
* Must have valid NYS Drivers License in good standing
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Must be available to work any shift.
+ Most work is scheduled between 7:00AM and 3:00 PM, however overtime and off shift work will be required at times. Must be available to work any shift.
* The ability to travel when required. Including overnight(s) on occasions.
* Must have positive attitude, record of reliability and a desire to be trained in the safe performance of the work.
* Equipment operating experience a plus
* OSHA 10 Card is a plus
* CDL License is plus
