**Job Summary**

**New hire base rate of $16.44 with $.75 increase at 6 months.**

Provides support to the programs at the Granville, NY location, within the defined World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework, in a manner consistent with Saint-Gobain EHS Policies and Principles of Conduct and Action.

The Shipper/Receiver is primarily responsible for the accurate and expeditious loadings and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments at the Granville facility. Additionally, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for maintaining and safeguarding inventories stored in the Granville Warehouse. The Shipper/Receiver must be proficient in using systems and computers, must obtain any required certifications for Export, CTPAT, etc., and comply with any other legally required training to support shipments from the Granville facility.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Positions are required to work overtime as scheduled. This includes before/after shift or weekend shift.

Acquires, stages, verifies and loads outgoing products and material per instruction

Unloads, verifies, transports and documents incoming shipments per instructions

Packages and labels outgoing materials for both international and domestic shipments

Maintains a data base of international shipping documentation requirements

Prepares documentation for international orders to meet US and foreign guidelines

Creates invoices and customs documents for all international shipments

Works with international and domestic customs agencies forwarders and customers to ensure efficient movement of goods

Affixes inventory tags to incoming shipments. Handles all bookings of ocean containers and inland freight carriers to meet the needs of export business requirements

Ensures compliance and adherence to all special shipping documentation requirements

Ensures compliance with paperwork processing, document preparation, and small parcel shipments.

Labels and affixes postage to outgoing shipments

Updates inventory records (manual and electronic) of incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as material movement within the Granville Warehouse

Samples incoming raw materials for QC inspection and acceptance

Maintains lift trucks, related equipment, and work areas as scheduled or as needed

Recommends and implements methods to increase the quality of products and/or services

Participates in self-development activities and training of others

Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices

Performs other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business

Recommends improved storage procedures to gain efficiencies and/or safeguard materials.

Assists with preparation of routine paperwork including manifests, bills of lading, labels, stencils, etc.

Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

**Required Qualifications**

* High School diploma or equivalent- Required

* Associates degree- Preferred

* Relevant forklift experience- Required

* Relevant manufacturing work experience- Preferred

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more- Required

* Basic computer skills- Required

* Well organized and able to operate independently or as member of team with minimal supervision- Required

* Ability to read, interpret, and communicate decisions (oral and written) related to material flow and storage in English- Required

* Ability to work overtime- Required
