Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying, and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships, and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures, and markets.

As part of their support model, CMCPR has an embedded Change Control team within each silo that is responsible for the management of both Change the Bank and Run the Bank change programs. The team collaborates with stakeholders in Operations, IT and Business to analyze, define, and deliver the Technology and Operational processes. Members of the team are expected to take leadership roles in the various programs as well as to take personal accountability for delivering first-class solutions and products.

The Clearing & Settlement team for CMCPR team has a high level of interaction with Business Specialists (Financial Advisors), Branch Management, Compliance, and Risk Teams. The team is also the liaison between the field and the businesses unit/trading desk. On a day-to-day basis, the team member manages conflicting events that occur throughout the day.

The Clearing & Settlement team is responsible for managing the day-to-day support of the trade lifecycle including the trade settlement across various asset classes and trade matching platforms. The candidate would also be performing suspense account reconciliation and balancing. This role entails heavy interaction with both internal and external financial advisors, the Core Settlements departments, MSWM trading desks, and external market centers and counterparties.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree

- A minimum of 2 years of financial services industry experience

- General knowledge of financial markets and investment products, specifically Trade Clearance and Settlements. (DTCC, Fed, Government, Muni).

- Great written and verbal communication skills

- Self-motivated with a high degree of attention to detail

- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment with a focus on innovation and flexibility

- Efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize competing urgent tasks

- Team player with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently

- Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge

- Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills

- Ability to think and act like an owner

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA a plus
