We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our companys service department and manage customer interactions. Their primary duties include overseeing other members of the service team, developing, and implementing service procedures and maintaining customer relationships. **Job Summary:**
The Service Manager is responsible for all operations within the service department, from hiring and managing technicians and service advisors, to customer service.
**Responsibilities:**
* Schedules service appointments, reviews recall and PM reports.
* Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
* Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
* Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
* Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and works closely with shop foreman and service technicians.
* Refers to service and warranty history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
* Effectively manages team members, including technicians and advisors, to ensure team objectives and sales goals are being carried out.

* Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
* Offers exemplary customer service, including maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers by upselling products and services and taking care of any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally.
* Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all service department staff.
* Other duties assigned.
**Qualifications:**
* Computer skills required.
* Excellent managerial skills.
* Experience in the automotive/truck field.
* Persuasiveness and sales-closing abilities.
* Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
* Great attitude with a high-energy personality.
