Job Description:

Position available in either Albany, NY or Meriden, CT. Hybrid options available.

We are seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in the northeast region. In this role, you will serve as both a Technical Lead and Project Manager for medium to large scale water and wastewater projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the growth of our Water/Wastewater Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to established water and wastewater clients
  • Lead the development and securing of new project work
  • Diagnose, analyze, and implement treatment process improvements
  • Optimize treatment plant operation systems, including pretreatment, filtration, chemical disinfection, residuals, and energy systems
  • Evaluate assets and contribute to long-term capital planning
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling of treatment system processes and storage systems
  • Provide water and wastewater expertise to utility staff in critical situations
  • Represent the company at regional and national levels through professional organizations, technical presentations, and key partnerships

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (Master s preferred)
  • Current PE license is required
  • 15-20+ years of experience in the water and/or wastewater discipline
  • Strong management, leadership, and mentoring skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver s license and ability to travel to job sites and client meetings
  • Occasional overnight travel will be required
  • Demonstrated experience as a technical lead and project manager for medium to large scale study, design, and construction projects involving water and wastewater treatment, storage, pumping and distribution/collection systems
  • Experience with Hydraulic modeling of treatment system processes and storage systems
