Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage specific client projects delivering evidence-based and data-driven analysis to support strategic advice and recommendations consistent with client-agreed mandates
- Lead the preparation of client materials including financial, market and valuation analysis
- Present analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Exposure to senior leaders and executive teams leading Gallagher Res value proposition to clients
- Playing a role in developing and managing the analyst pool
- Play a role developing our value proposition, using entrepreneurial and innovative approaches to new products and solutions
- Identifying client strategic challenges and developing solutions
- Developing tools and products using structured and unstructured data collected by Gallagher Re
- Understand client growth priorities and manage engagements to deliver insights to unlock strategy
- Project manage complex client engagement and manage timelines and client expectations
- Develop new data sets leveraging internal and external data sources
- Deliver insights on client and/or industry data sets that inform strategy
- Project mange internal product development using new technologies and frameworks to exploren analyze and visualize industry and client data
- Liaise with other internal stakeholders to develop our data strategy for Strategic Advisory
- Build and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to create opportunities to deliver strategic advisory services
- Leverage big data technologies and statistical analysis platforms to improve the efficiency of the data driven products developed by Gallagher and Gallagher Re
- Build, develop, and manage machine learning models
Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in a strategic and analytical role with a focus on the P&C insurance / reinsurance industry. Relevant experience would include actuarial, corporate strategy, management consulting, underwriting, broking, rating agency, or financial planning
- Proven ability of delivering differentiated analytics to facilitate performance, growth and cycle management decisions within an insurance company
- Proven ability to lead teams on time sensitive projects
- Comfortable with client interactions with C-suite level project sponsors
- Willingness to travel
- Bachelor's degree
Desired:
- Actuary, CFA, MBA or similar
- Experience with strategic underwriting or growth initiatives within P&C insurance
- Project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI a plus.
- Experience with US statutory and GAAP accounting for insurance companies
- SNL/S&P CapIQ knowledge and experience
