Job DescriptionChubb is seeking a business professional to join our Financial Lines underwriting team specializing in complex Fiduciary, ERISA Bonds, and Family Kidnap and Ransom coverages. The Chubb office location for this position is flexible. The Multiemployer/Public Sector Benefit Plans Team offers the opportunity to specialize in a unique client base. The department handles business from across the country and is responsible for several large producer relationships. The position supports the achievement of established goals related to profitable growth, customer service, and producer relationships. This specialized underwriting role focuses on developing renewal strategies for an assigned book of business with policy premiums that can surpass $1M and crafting new business proposals to add profitable business to the portfolio. Key functions include building and maintaining relationships with agents, brokers, and branch counterparts, financial analysis of employee benefit plans, underwriting new and renewal business, and effective triage of an assigned book of business. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Develop renewal strategies for assigned book of business and negotiate to profitable outcomes.
  • Maintain underwriting discipline and effectively identify and apply differing levels of analysis based on complexity of risk.
  • Initiative to participate in or manage team projects and broker relationships
  • Utilize skills in financial analysis to make expedient and sound decisions.
  • Collaborate with branch counterparts to inform and partner on new and renewal business.
  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with agents and brokers.
  • Deliver timely quality service to internal and external customers.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, triage, and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in communication, negotiation, and building collaborative relationships.
  • Effectively work as part of a team and offer assistance and guidance to teammates.
  • Flexibility and adaptation to new technology.
Qualifications
  • 5 years Financial Lines underwriting experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Business, or Finance preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, negotiation, communication, and marketing skills.
  • Proficient in financial analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Self-motivated with desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
