A Leading Investment Management Firm in Manhattan is seeking a full-time, permanent, employee for a Senior Technical Program Manager. You will play a pivotal role in driving and executing technical strategic projects while implementing Agile methodologies. The strategic big picture is Cloud transformation and optimization, and modernization of the platforms to the best in class technologies . Your expertise in project management, combined with a deep understanding of the technology and Agile practices, will enable you to lead cross-functional teams and successfully deliver high-impact systems initiatives.
MUST HAVE STRONG APPLICATION CLOUD MIGRATION EXPERIENCE.
THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE- 3 DAYS IN THE OFFICE & 2 DAYS WORKING REMOTELY. Key Responsibilities:
1. Cloud Transformation Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the migration and optimization of existing systems to cloud platforms.
Identify and evaluate best-in-class cloud technologies suitable for the organization's needs.
2. Software Engineering Management:
Lead cross-functional teams through the entire software development life cycle, ensuring successful delivery of cloud transformation projects.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
3. Project Management:
Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project goals and objectives.
Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
4. Technical Expertise:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, specifications, and deliverables.
Strong knowledge of development environment and tools. The Firm uses Python, Apis, and middleware/databases.
Strong knowledge of development environment and tools.
Familiarity with Data Management and Warehousing.
Solid understanding of Cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agile methodologies
Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, providing guidance on the adoption of new technologies and best practices.
5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and security, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
6. Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud transformation projects.
Implement proactive measures to ensure the security, compliance, and reliability of the cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications:
10+ years' experience managing IT Systems Development project teams in a cross-functional environment. The firm uses IT resources from pooled teams.
Strong knowledge of development environment and tools. The Firm uses Python, Apis, and middleware/databases.
Strong knowledge of development environment and tools.
Familiarity with Data Management and Warehousing.
Solid understanding of Cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Collaborative and innovative work environment.
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). SCRUM, Safe or other Agile certifications required.
