Senior Software Engineer
Our client is a prestigious tech-driven Hedge Fund, making waves as they establish a multi-asset systematic trading team. They are seeking a Python software engineer, with a large focus on data to amplify their Quant Platform Engineering team in New York.
You would be joining a team dedicated to crafting cutting-edge libraries and distributed platforms that fuel quantitative research and portfolio implementation. Your contributions will directly shape the firm's ability to innovate and deploy new investment strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively develop resilient, transparent, and flexible data platform tools for use in investment thesis generation and testing
- Build infrastructure solutions for data pipelines at various scales
- Design and implement high-performing and robust libraries of re-usable tools for utilization in Thematic research process (e.g., backtesting, simulation, diagnostics)
- Collect requirements, design and implement reporting, analytic and visualization tools
- Maintain underlying database of investment strategies, including storage, editing and front-end display
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with coding in Python
- Experience using data science libraries (pandas, numpy)
- Possess a diverse technical background with a keen focus on data processing and exploration.
- Approach problem-solving with systematic precision and tenacity.
- STEM degree
- Ideally have start-up experience
