Sr. Software Engineer

Prestige Staffing has partnered with a leading FinTech company on their search for a Sr. Software Engineer role. They are looking for a back end focused engineer to help them build out the APIs and microservices that power two of their primary applications that allow customers to manager their investments. In this role you will work primarily with Java and Spring Boot, as well as other technologies such as RabbitMQ and Redis.

This is a great opportunity to work on a small team building enterprise level applications and have true ownership of your code. This is a permanent role and will follow a hybrid schedule (working 3 days a week in their NYC office).

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and support RESTful APIs from scratch using Java
• Build microservices leveraging Spring Boot
• Work closely with Product Management team to understand user needs and feature requirements
• Contribute to documentation for new development
• Leverage RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication

Requirements:

• 6+ years of development experience, ideally focused on the back end
• At least 3 years of professional Java experience
• Spring and Spring Boot experience
• Experience with RabbitMQ preferred
• Experience with Redis preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
