Location: New York, NY, USA The Senior Sales Manager, Asset Management NA is assigned a given portfolio of prospective clients within the North American Asset Management Market Unit and she/he is primarily responsible for planning, qualifying, executing, and driving winning sales campaigns. The Senior Sales Manager works closely with Pre-sales, Professional Services (Implementation) and other internal stakeholders to achieve new business sales targets through subscription sales and enabling service sales. The Senior Sales Manager becomes the trusted advisor of the prospective Asset Managers decision-making body where she/he can differentiate SimCorps offering platform.

At this level the Senior Sales Manager is expected to be up to date with the latest industry trends and SimCorp business initiatives. She/He is recognized as a trusted advisor by the C-suite at the most complex Asset Manager prospective clients. Her/His experienced consultative approach should uncover opportunities and expand SimCorp partnerships whilst at the same time increase the prospective clients overall operating efficiency.

The Senior Sales Manager works independently and excels at all relevant functions and disciplines within their role. She/He should be considered a partner to peers and coach/train/advise them to an extent that improves their performance.

Travel will be variable but expected to be 10-20% per month, both locally and globally.

****Duties & Responsibilities****

??****New Business Development****

* Identify and qualify Asset Management leads, develop pipeline of sales opportunities, and finally convert these opportunities to completed sales. Consistently seek to exceed individual sales targets and attain win-rates above SimCorp averages

* Respond to tenders and requests for information/proposal in a timely manner, providing both accurate and detailed information to meet expectations, that shortlists SimCorp in preferred position

* Accurately develop and manage new business sales tools to target new sales activity, that are shared with peers on a global level, which results in a better performance and engagement process

****Sales Planning & Process Management****

* Leverage a detailed understanding of SimCorps sales model, sales methodology, relevant processes and sales tools and proactively accurately communicate key information via these tools.

* Develop and maintain knowledge of SimCorp's product and service portfolio, capabilities and other offerings from a business development perspective, in a way that this is translated into client business outcomes in concrete sales cases

* Continuously identify and monitor Asset Management market trends and competitor activity

* Overcome competitive sales objections and position SimCorp's products and services against competition and client needs, in a way that this in translated into client business outcomes in concrete sales cases

* Demonstrate sales creativity in combining our offerings or looking to create unique offerings that present strong return on investment for the firm and/or cost saving

* Maintain an accurate and up to date pipeline and forecast

* Seek out additional ways to demonstrate leadership and make an impact, such as mentoring, involvement in training, running campaigns, and active involvement in product enhancement

****Contract Management and Negotiation****

* Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further required documentation whilst following necessary SimCorp protocols

* Optimize the contract value in line with revenue income recognition principles

* Support Corporate Legal and Compliance team with contract negotiation as required

****Qualifications:****

* Bachelors Degree within Finance, Economics, Physics, Math, Science or Engineering. Masters degree preferred.

* Minimum of 10 years Sales experience, ideally with a vendor catering to the Asset Management industry vertical or equivalent experience

* Knowledge of or experience with SimCorp Dimension will be considered as an asset

* Key expertise and experience in the following areas:

+ Investment management processes (front, middle and back office)

+ Challenges and opportunities facing Asset Managers

+ Managing complex and long sales cycles with eight figure financial impact

+ C-suite and operating committee engagement process
