About the roleRoku pioneered streaming to the TV. Roku streaming players and Roku TV models are available worldwide through direct retail sales and licensing arrangements with TV brands and pay-TV operators. For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $98,000 - $230,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. What you'll be doingNetworking is integral to Roku and a core part of our DNA. As a member of the Network Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and robustness of the Networking/Wi-Fi experience on various products in the Roku family. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with networking or Wi-Fi testing. You should be comfortable with the analysis of packet traffic and be able to understand complex network conditions. We're excited if you have 5+ years of experience in 802.11 Wi-Fi protocols and Bluetooth Expertise in 802.11 WiFi and its security protocols (WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA-EAP) 5+ years of experience in SQA methodologies and practices, preferably with WiFi/BT consumer networking products In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking (TCP, IP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, etc.) Ability to analyze network traffic and perform packet-level analysis of issues Experience in developing test strategies and executing them with automation or manual testing. Experience in utilizing wireless packet sniffers to help resolve root causes and provide debugging information to engineering teams.
