We are looking for a mission-driven Lead Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will turn raw data into information and insights. Working with the SCA Operations and Risk Management team, you will help to build a center of excellence of data analytics at SCA, provide recommendations, and present findings. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new team that is working to help the SCA use its data more effectively and identify areas for improvement and growth.Job DescriptionLead Data Analyst Responsibilities Include:
  • Interfaces with multiple business units to understand data sources, definitions, and overall operations
  • Collaborates with team members and/or data systems to collect data
  • Evaluates sources of information to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability
  • Cleans, normalizes, enriches and analyzes large sets of raw data
  • Knowledge of Advanced SQL, Power BI and Excel
  • Builds data models, and checks for inaccuracies, and creates and maintains record of transactions in tools
  • Knowledge of automated tools such as Microsoft Power Automate or Power Tools to extract data and/or Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools
  • Creates reports and dashboards and/or other visualizations to convey results
  • Recommends data-driven solutions to key stakeholders
  • Establishes KPIs to measure effectiveness of business decisions and/or management dashboards
  • Creates presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
  • Conducts business analysis and research to identify key metrics and opportunities for improvement
  • Provides end user training, documentation and support on process and metrics used
  • Leads team of data analysts, directing, training, and providing guidance on day-to-day tasks
  • Coaches analysts on team and encourages learning and development
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes and/or other data storage locations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior experience leading a team
  • A degree in Business Administration, Operations, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Computer Programming & Software Development, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or certificate of completion of a coding bootcamp and 2-3 years of experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital skills. Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Power BI/ Tableau, SQL, Python, R, ETL Tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively tailor technical concepts for less technical audiences
