Senior Interior Designer Location: New York Job Description Lead one of two teams in all phases of residential design projects.
Research and specify interior design finishes and fixtures; coordinate with vendors to communicate accurately clients needs and requests.
Ability to problem solve and develop creative design solutions in a timely fashion when needed.
Creation and presentation of designs for team and client review and approval.
Gather and review estimates; create purchase orders; develop and update Excel purchase summaries.
Manage all aspects of each job with regards to delegation and handling of all aspects of construction administration.
Review shop drawings for accuracy and design intent.
Develop and update Excel purchase summaries; maintain client files.
Review shop drawings.
Coordinate deliveries; supervise installations; inventory all delivered items; construction administration from start to completion.
Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and vendors.
Prepare Finish Schedules and Finish Plans.
Job Requirements Degree in Interior Design.
Minimum of five (5) years working for a U.S. architecture and/or interior design firm.
Excellent design sense and knowledge of design principles.
Strong knowledge of fittings, lighting, tile, and FF&E.
Excellent oral and writing skills.
Attention to detail, highly organized, and ability to manage multiple projects.
Computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Auto Cad, and Sketch Up.
