Job Description:

Our client, a large financial institution in NYC, is looking for a Senior Instructional Designer with strong experience in Articulate Storyline 360 for a long-term remote contract working EST hours. In this role, you will play a crucial role in crafting dynamic and interactive online learning materials. Collaborating closely with course owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), you will determine training objectives, conduct thorough training needs assessments, and translate complex concepts into engaging, effective learning experiences. Leveraging your expertise in Articulate Storyline 360, you will design and develop multimedia content, ensuring that each module aligns with instructional goals and engages learners effectively. This position will be hybrid and based out of New York office.

  • This is a 40-hour/week ongoing remote contract that requires EST hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with course owners and SMEs to identify training objectives and performance gaps.
  • Conduct thorough training needs assessments to determine target audience and learning requirements.
  • Design and develop engaging, interactive online learning modules using Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Create multimedia content, including videos, simulations, and assessments, to enhance learning experiences.
  • Ensure alignment of instructional materials with learning objectives and industry standards.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of training materials.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Stay updated on instructional design trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance learning experiences.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in instructional design, with expertise in Articulate Storyline 360.
  • A strong portfolio displaying previous instructional design work.
  • Proven track record of designing and developing engaging online learning materials.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Proficiency in multimedia authoring tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, error-free work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Continuous learner with a passion for staying updated on industry trends and best practices in instructional design.
