Position is not remote. Attendance is required 5 days a week in our Manhattan office

The salary range for this position is $80k-$95k annually

Job Summary

QSAC s fiscal department is hiring! We are in need of a seasoned Senior Fiscal Analyst who has an eye for detail, a knack for monitoring budgets and providing overall fiscal compliance to QSAC s OPWDD programs, while ensuring adherence to Special Education Department s (SED) Reimbursement Cost Manual (RCM), Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) and GAAP Standards.

Analysis, Compliance & Reporting

  • Verify expenses are recorded in accordance with the manual of Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR)
  • Analyze quarterly un-audited Financial Statements and Profit and Loss Statements
  • Ensure both program and fiscal compliance with SED Reimbursement Cost Manual (RCM) is in place
  • Guides and reviews of monthly and adjusting journal entries to Trial Balance
  • Review and monitor activities of Trial Balance accounts
  • Assist Controller and the CFO on all issues that will impact the financial position of the organization
  • Communicate with budget Analyst to resolve pending/outstanding issues related to the monthly closing of the General Ledger
  • Assist in all types of external audits such as regular annual, closeouts by governmental agencies
  • Assist with updating Accounting and Policy Procedures manual as needed
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • BS/BA in Finance or Accounting, required
  • A minimum of five (5) Fiscal Compliance experience, preferred
  • 5 years of professional finance experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles along with strong analytical and strategic skills which will be used to identify financial, operational and process improvement opportunities
  • Strong system skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated track record of displaying a collaborating working style
  • Reconciliation of various accounts on a monthly basis
  • Self-motivated, self-reliant and strong work ethic
