POSITION SUMMARY:

Our client, a leading real estate firm has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Director, Human Resources. This role will be responsible for spearheading, overseeing, and directing employee operations, benefits programs, and employee relations functions within the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, enforcing, and assessing compliant Human Resources policies, procedures, and best practices, while also identifying and executive long-term and strategic company and talent management objectives. The Senior Director, Human Resources plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive total rewards programs for the company, managing activities related to company benefits, and overseeing HRIS processing, and serving as the company's subject matter expert on people programs across the teams. This role requires expertise and proficiency in these areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Partner and Talent Management

Collaborate with key stakeholders and leadership to understand business goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention within business units.

Participate in the development, coordination, and implementation of policies, processes, training initiatives, and surveys to support the company's human resource compliance and strategy needs.

Administer human resources programs, including but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

Identify staffing and recruiting needs, partnering with Talent Acquisition to develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.

Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Oversee employee relations matters; investigating and documenting complaints and recommending corrective action; receiving and responding to accommodations requests.

Serve as the company's liaison with all union partners.

Benefits and HRIS

Assess competitiveness of the existing benefits programs in health welfare, wellbeing and retirement, identifying and recommending changes as appropriate.

Ensure employees understand benefit programs and counsel employees as situations arise. Work as liaison with insurance carriers/broker and employees to resolve issues.

Coordinate yearly Open Enrollment Meetings with employees & broker. Arrange for distribution of materials from carriers and process changes with deadlines.

Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits and reports necessary or suggested changes to Head of Human Resources.

Assist in maintaining data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data and reviewing source documents for accuracy and completion of data input.

Prepare statistical summaries and reports from the HRIS involving performance management, demographic data, and other employee data, requiring knowledge of the various Human Resources disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform the job successfully, the following skills and/or experience is required to qualify for the position.

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.

Five (5) + years' experience in an HR leadership role, managing team members and working with internal business partners as a centers of excellence model.

Experience with self-insurance required.

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.

Knowledge of employment law and other compliance regulations.

Union experience preferred

Working knowledge of Wage and Hour requirements and Taxation requirements.

Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee benefits.

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.

Able to effectively present and information and respond to questions from management, vendors, and associates.

Adhere to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for deliverables.

Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative.

Strong written and oral skills.

Accurate with a strong attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Paylocity experience preferred.
