Job Title: Senior Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Morristown, NJ

Salary: 90-115K

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Desktop Support Engineer to join the IT team in Morristown, NJ. This position is a Hybrid role, expectations are to be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

The Senior Desktop Support Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting all our internal users across the company. This role will report to the Sr Director of Infrastructure and Security.

Role Responsibilities

  • IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on VMware/Hyper-V, etc.
  • Evaluate, Route, and Resolve service tickets and incidents via an Enterprise ITSM system following internal procedures and act as the final point of escalation for complex technical issues.
  • Owning the IT onboarding process for new hires including imaging and issuing of endpoints and access management. Walking new employees through the IT onboarding presentation so that they can become familiar with IT standards, best-practices, and how to receive help.
  • Responsible for writing and maintaining documentation and KB articles on IT best practices and standards.
  • Responsible for asset management including endpoints issued to users and helping maintain a CMDB for infrastructure components at HQ, Branch Locations, and Co-Location Data Centers.
  • Implement and support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Intune, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure, storage, and computer devices and support disaster recovery solutions.
  • Setup and support of AV components in a corporate location including conference room and all-hands spaces (Teams, Zoom, etc)
  • Setup, Maintenance, and support for office printers & scanners.
  • Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security including knowledge of WiFi systems in a corporate environment that includes HQ and Branch Locations.

Qualifications

  • IT Certifications in relevant IT Technologies (Microsoft, Security, ITIL)
  • 5 years of relevant experience with M365 services, Azure, SaaS, SharePoint, Virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with MDF rooms at corporate locations and support of the networking and server equipment that resides within.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in working with end-users in and enterprise environment
  • Experience with Enterprise Ticketing Systems such as Freshworks, ServiceNow, Atlassian, etc
  • Experience with office telephony / VOIP systems such as RingCentral - nice to have
  • Willingness to help end users with little understanding of technology.
  • Ability to work independently while being resourceful with the ability to prioritize work efforts and multitask as needed.
  • Strong troubleshooting, solving, critical thinking, planning, time management and analytical skills
