Well-established company located in the Capital Region is looking to add a talented Design Engineer to its collaborative and focused engineering team. This position would have the autonomy to create designs, modifications, and assist in overall project management and delivery. - Work to create new designs and/or modify existing designs with a focus upon lower cost, improved manufacturability, increased product performance, and higher overall product quality
- Work with various engineering groups as well as sales and project management to provide relevant documents and design to internal and external stakeholders
- Use Solidworks to create accurate, complete and concise engineering documentation
- Coordinate design changes with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Document design specifications for continuation once project is initiated
- Represent company in a professional manner in all interactions
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required within role
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Associates Degree will be considered with appropriate experience
- 3+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering role focused on design
- Experience with Solidworks preferred
- Experience with ASME BPVC code
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
