Job Title- Senior Data Management Specialist Location - New York We are hiring a Senior Data Management Specialist who will work with teams in a fast-paced technology organization. As a Senior Data Management Specialist, you will support the technical and operational aspects of enterprise data management and governance. You will support data analysis and mining activities and act as a liaison to Information Technology teams, as well as providing ongoing support for data initiatives through data quality, data lineage, catalog and reference data management, and operational monitoring work. Skills Required 1. Extensive experience in data modeling, building and maintaining data catalogs, and content taxonomy frameworks. 2. Extensive experience with data management tools that profile, classify, filter, and clean data to locate and correct code problems. 3. Expertise in developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. 4. Experience in identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets. 5. Experience in using infographics and visualization tools to visualize data to be used by technical teams. 6. Experience in working with PHI, PII, and PCI data. 7. Experience in configuring data quality and governance standards and best practices in a multi-cloud environment. 8. Experience in structuring large datasets to extract useful information. 9. Ability to establish and track KPI's to measure the effectiveness of technical decisions. 10. Ability to create presentations and reports to present recommendations and findings. 11. Experience in supporting the development and recommendation of business solutions through research and analysis of data. 12. Ability to support the creation of datasets from a variety of disparate data sources to further data governance initiatives and processes. 13. Ability to work with and collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to install and build tools transforming data to build a new generation of data and artificial intelligence products. 14. Effectively collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, promote data literacy, and gather and implement requirements for data-related projects. Nice to have 1. Experience in leading a team of data analysts and engineers. 2. Knowledge of statistical analysis, and statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, or R. 3. Process improvement experience Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field, Masters preferred 2. 7+ years of experience as a Data Management Specialist or Data Analyst
