Our client, a leading global bank, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their data warehouse sourcing and analytics team. This person will assist with data discovery, data mapping, documentation, testing and support. This will be part of a team that will help to understand data patterns as they apply to banking products, develop specifications for mapping and execute test plans to identify inconsistencies. Must have experience with investment and corporate banking (for example derivatives, commercial property, repose, reverse repose, loans, deposits, etc) and will serve as a SME within this area.

Responsibilities:
Develop strong relationships with business partners that add value
Develop, review, and validate requirements and specifications as applied to data constructs and solutions.
Conduct business/data analysis and research to validate new requirements and identify patterns and data inconsistencies across targets and sources
Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis of exception requirements
Use automated tools to extract data from multiple sources
Filter Data by comparing results in sources and targets to identify and correct code problems
Collaborate with team members to collect, analyze, and evaluate information from multiple sources
Documentation of meeting minutes, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and integrity
Map source system data attributes to target destination, including transformation specifications as required to be used by developers for implementation
Report on common sources of technical questions or issues and make recommendations to development team
Participate in validating functional requirements, design specifications, testing analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Business Administration or related field
5+ years of experience in Business or Data Analyst role within the Banking or Finance industry
Extensive familiarity with corporate or investment banking products from a data perspective: cash, loans, commitments, derivatives, regulatory reporting, finance, etc
Strong communication, collaboration, organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in statistics and packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS which will be used for data set analysis.
Strong documentation and specification writing skills
Strong analytical and mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
Understanding of database design concepts
Hands on technical skills supporting data analysis and some experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python
Technical skills regarding database design development, and data models
Data visualization and data analysis experience (Power Bi, Tableau) is preferred
Familiarity with Snowflake data warehouse environments is a plus
Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
Proven experience in gathering requirements and testing
