Position | Senior Cost Accountant
Location | Manhattan, NY (Onsite 5 days per week)
George Thomas has partnered with a leading Luxury Clothing and Fashion company looking to add value to its Finance and Accounting team. The role will report to the Group Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily accounting operations of the company.
- Support the Controller in the monthly closing process and identify critical items.
- Help in the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package.
- Assist with Budget and Cash Projection preparations.
- Participate in external audits and work with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company standards
- Provide support to the CFO, Controller and other members of the finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Finance Related Degree
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in apparel, wholesale, retail industry sectors
- Strong track record within Cost Accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong technical ability in major ERP systems
