**Title: Senior Cook/Kitchen Manager**
**Locations: *Anas Place,* Bronx, NY**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** Essential duties of the *Senior Cook*include but are not limited to the following activities: Overseeing the preparation of three meals daily for 110 residents as well as snacks, with particular attention to the needs of residents with dietary restrictions
Prepare meals according to written recipes
Maintaining and operating kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
Ordering, storage, control and management of all stock, according to regulations and administrative procedures
Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers
Support with all aspects of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of the kitchen, equipment and other food service areas
Follow menu and maintaining food and supply budgets
Attend Monthly Kitchen Managers meeting
Maintain schedule
Ensure kitchen food distribution is in compliance with DHS & DOHMH regulations
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of staff engaged in food preparation, meal service and cleanup
Ensure safe handling and proper temperature control of prepared foods
Supervise and participate in training kitchen personnel on their duties and responsibility
**Qualifications:**
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Requires NYC Food Handlers Certificate
Formal culinary arts training and/ or institutional cooking experience
Must be a team player and able to work any shift
