- Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop business information processing systems. Coordinates with business and technology teams
- Serves as a lead analyst providing expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management projects, and performance measures for very complex and multiple business process engagements.
- Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirements gathering, and defines scope and objectives.
- Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to identifying and eliminating duplication, outsourcing opportunities, streamlining, centralizing, business improvement processes, manufacturing. improvement processes, and/or vendor selection
- Uses quantitative analysis methodology to perform data, cost and benefit, and/or process measurement analysis.
- May be responsible for resolution of complex problems escalated by lower-level consultants.
- Develops department policies and procedures.
- May coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionals.
- May serve as a team or task lead.
Job Description
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will join the clients project team to ensure that contractual obligations are met for systems support and process integration, procedures, and document preparation for the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of an enterprise-wide tuition assistance award solution. You will work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and collaborative environment which requires strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills. You will coordinate the activities required to meet the project and quality standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
Minimum experience/Qualifications:
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analysis, problem-solving experience (requirements analysis, documentation, user stories), ability to gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams, good decision-making, ability to work independently and deliver on time with quality, strong MS Office suite including Visio and Project skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and strict attention to detail.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Strong Experience with JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence
- Experience with SDLC in a Hybrid (Agile + Waterfall) environment, functional testing, UAT
- Experience and comfortable in a project start-up environment.
- Recent system modernization project experience preferred.
- Experience in the grants/scholarship/financial aid in the education sector a big plus.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) AND 5-plus years of relevant experience. A Master s or similar advanced degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. MBA is a plus.
- 5 + years of related experience
- PMP certification, process improvement and/or business analysis certifications a plus

- Hybrid, On Customer Site (Albany, NY), Remote
