Overview Placement Type: Permanent Salary (USD): $85,000 - $100,000 Start Date: 05.06.2024 AMAZING HYBRID OPPORTUNITY!!!! - NYC Hybrid: New York CityROLE: Senior Art Director- Experiential Aquent has partnered with a fast-growing agency who is searching for a Senior Art Director to join them on their journey to build the industry's next great force in experiential and content development. Here's what they do: Design, create, and activate immersive, sensorial Experiential live brand experiences. Create authentic content (film + video, photography, graphic art) for use on all things social, digital, and live. Here's our Philosophy: Moments in time that transcend. Here's what they're looking for: Our client is searching for a Senior Art Director who will be responsible for creating and conceptualizing visual and functional elements to enhance the user experience, aesthetics, and overall appeal of agency products, services, or projects. This candidate should possess excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas to clients or colleagues. They should be creative, detail-oriented, and capable of thinking critically to solve design challenges. Ultimately, the role is to bring creativity and functionality together to create visually appealing and user-friendly solutions that meet the needs and objectives of the project. This role reports to the Head of Creative and supports/executes end-to-end creative from concept through development. This person would need to own the development of photoshoot campaign concepts and collaborate with post-production teams to ensure assets meet brand standards and be able to produce layouts for printing by marking up, pasting, and finishing layouts. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in related field 5+ years of experience in an Art Direction/Design role from an agency or in-house brand Expert understanding of creative principles and best practices Excellent creative and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong computer application skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite) Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, such as Adobe CS (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Figma, proficiency in After Effects, and an understanding of UI / UX High level of proficiency in typography, and retouching skills Strong sense of design (traditional, digital, environmental) Conceptualization: Collaborating with clients and team members to understand project requirements and ideate creative and innovative design concepts that align with the goals and vision. Brand Identity: Developing and maintaining consistent brand identities, including logos, color schemes, typography, and other elements that reflect the brand's personality and values. Pitch Decks: Create unique and engaging templates for agency/client presentations. Ability to present ideas to external and internal stakeholders, and ability to concept campaign ideas Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, such as account services, production, and senior leadership, to ensure seamless integration of design into the overall project. Research: Conduct market research, trend analysis, and user research to gain insights and stay updated on industry best practices. Own development of photoshoot campaign concepts, and collaborate with post-production teams to ensure assets meet brand standards Depth of experience across online, print, experiential / photo art direction and an understanding of content platforms Adaptability: Being adaptable and open to feedback, able to iterate on designs based on input from stakeholders and end-users. Time Management: Meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure timely completion. Print and Digital Design: Understanding and strong aesthetic on both print materials (e.g., brochures, posters) and digital assets (e.g., websites, mobile apps, social media graphics). Continuous Learning: Staying up to date with the latest design trends, technologies, and tools to maintain a high level of expertise in the field.
