Job Description:

The Data Governance & Standardization team within Data & Analytics (DnA) drives and implements data governance products, services and methods to improve data integrity, quality and governance of enterprise data. This role will support the Data Governance & Standardization Manager on promoting democratization of metadata, data and data solutions while maintaining data protections (info sec, compliance, risk, access controls).

General tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with DnA stakeholders to design and evolve how we govern data and embed data governance framework elements within the fabric of DnA business workflows.
  • Synthesize key findings and recommendations into clear and succinct presentations to continuously improve the data governance framework.
  • Support the development of enterprise terms by providing aides, training and assessment services to DnA Analytics Center of Excellence Core Leads, Product Managers and Business Analysts, recommending ways to strengthen data integrity, quality and availability.
  • Develop strong working relationships and effectively partner with key stakeholders within DnA and partner stakeholders to accomplish goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and

2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications.

Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years).

Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience.

3. Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or

4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to summarize information to highlight key issues
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of data architecture and technology infrastructure, data quality, and data quality management principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with business stakeholders and team members
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in an evolving organization and can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.
  • Experience working within and managing projects utilizing Agile (SCRUM)
  • Sknowledge and experience with healthcare data domains
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks
