Job Summary: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. You will work closely with the finance team to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing variances.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, identify trends, and recommend solutions for improving financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and provide ongoing monitoring and analysis of budget variances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting requirements and provide financial insights to drive business growth.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
