Senior Accountant
CFS has partnered with a contractor in lower Westchester to help identify their new Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities:
- Review and reconcile payroll records to ensure accuracy and proper allocation of labor costs to specific projects.
- Post job costs and payroll transactions accurately in the accounting system, maintaining detailed project expense records.
- Enter accounts receivable invoices and requisitions promptly and accurately, in alignment with project timelines and client agreements.
- Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating terms, resolving billing discrepancies, and processing payments in a timely manner.
- Assist the CFO in completing annual and quarterly financial tasks such as year-end audits, tax preparation, and insurance requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support project planning and decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and accounting standards relevant to construction accounting practices.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting OR from a construction company.
- Prior knowledge of WIP and job costing principles is preferred.
