Senior AccountantDepartment: FinanceEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: New YorkCompensation: $80,000 - $100,000 / yearDescriptionCadogan Tate has an open position for an experienced Senior Accountant.This a full-time position, working Monday through Friday. The company provides competitive pay and excellent benefits. The candidate must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S and proof of vaccination against COVID-19 prior to employment. Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the monthly accounting processes and procedures.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of management accounts and cost center analysis to the GFC - US each month through coordinating the actions of the finance team involved in the process.
  • Ensure that all US financial controls are maintained at the highest levels together with underlying policies, processes, and accounting systems.
  • Manage a small team of general ledger, accounts payable and payroll
  • Ensure the timely processing of AP invoices and payments
  • Support the year end audit process and address matters raised by the auditors.
  • Responsibility for preparing and reviewing quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for all US entities for the GFC - US.
  • Monthly balance sheet reviews to ensure all key general ledger codes reconciled
  • Responsibility for Treasury - bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasts for all US entities.
  • Tax compliance including review of quarterly sales tax submissions and payroll taxes
  • Support the integration of acquisitions into the US part of the Group
  • Ensure the integrity and operation of the Group's finance systems and develop a culture of continual improvement and automation of finance processes
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
  • You will either be a qualified accountant or QBE with over 10 years' experience.
  • Good Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills to communicate and present financial information clearly
  • You will have strong financial controls focus, able to assess and implement finance process change from a control's perspective
  • You will have experience of constructing budgets and forecasts and being able to articulate key assumptions and risks for review. Able to collaborate across finance and within the broader business with influencing skills.
  • Ability to embed a financial controls and risk management mindset across finance.
  • Resilient and able to quickly adapt to change within a face-paced organization.
  • Good communicator, both verbally and in presenting financial information.
