The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting our Controller and VP, Finance in the managing of accounting operations.
- Reconcile cash activity on a regular basis.
- Reconcile and maintain schedules relating to compliance items, insurance, sales tax, fixed assets, and leases.
- Perform month end close in accordance with internal close schedule.
- Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts consistent with GAAP and corporate accounting policies, ensuring proper documentation and supporting schedules.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed and act as a backup to other accounting functions.
- Play a critical role in helping prepare the organization for a potential future IPO.
- Support the roll-out of multiple production facilities across the US.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance & 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 2+ years of experience working for a manufacturing organization.
- Proven ability to execute effectively and efficiently on accounting initiatives (defining chart of accounts, implementing revenue recognition, creating and maintaining financial dashboards, implementing process and procedures to help with quick month/year end closes).
- Advanced excel user with deep analytics capability
- Exposure to NetSuite preferred.
- CPA preferred.
