Senior Accountant - Strong PE Backed Firm!

- This role will be reporting into the Controller with visibility to the CFO and Senior Management. There is a growth opportunity in the position to be the right hand of the Controller in the near future.

What you'll do as a Senior Accountant:
- Prepare journal entries and assist with the month-end and year-end closings
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank reconciliations
- Review daily bank activity for accuracy
- Analyze gross profit reports for monthly reporting package
- Assist in analyzing inventory variances and trends
- Assist with year-end certified audit requirements by investigating and resolving audit findings
- Assist in the preparation of expense budgets and budget versus actual variance analysis.
- Variance analysis of outgoing freight to ensure reaching pricing strategies
- Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns
- Assist with additional analysis, tasks and special projects as needed
What you bring as the Senior Accountant:
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Salary up to $110K depending upon experience
- Strong Excel experience with exposure to an ERP system such as:
- Oracle, SAP, AS400 or others is a plus
