< **Security Officer**
Poly Prep seeks applicant for a **Security Officer** position to join our dynamic Operations team. Full time position available with additional shifts, holiday coverage and shift flexibility as needed. Position entails conducting rounds throughout the facility including locker rooms. This position will report to the Director of Safety and Security **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Position Requirements:
Must have NYS Security Guard License and pass a background check.
Knowledge of basic methods of providing site security and safety
Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Proficient with teamwork and collaborating with colleagues and administration.
Strong oral communication skills, human relations and interpersonal skills
Impeccable attendance and punctuality
Ability to operate detecting systems
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
Knowledge of CCTV systems
Integrity and professionalism.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education:** High School diploma or equivalent.
**Experience:** Prefer School related Security/Experience
**Certifications:**
**Preferred licenses:**
Fire Guard License F-01
F-03 (Fire Guard & Indoor Place of Assembly)
F-07 (Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor).
