**Security Officer**

at Acreage Holdings Montville, Connecticut, United States **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

Acreage Holdings is a fully integrated cannabis company, with the goal of being the leading innovator in this new and burgeoning industry. Based out of The Botanist - Montville, the Security Officer, in coordination with their manager, works to keep the employees and patients safe in an environment requiring exceptional customer service skills to work in a fast pace environment.

**Job duties include, but not limited to:**

* Monitor access in and out of the dispensary, helping dispensary staff control access to the facility in accordance with State Rules and Regulations by following a strict check-in process, and actively monitoring physical security around the site

* Validate & enter customer information with and accuracy into our internal systems

* Assist dispensary staff with controlling access to facility by ID examination and verification

* Answer phone, assist customers and provide the highest levels of customer service

* Comply with standard operational procedures and best practices

* Complete various duties with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

* Protect company and customer information in accordance with policies/procedures

* In the event of emergency, secure staff, visitors, and building; act as liaison with local police or law enforcement

* Maintain

* Engage in de-escalation techniques to assist with patient and customer disputes

* Monitor security cameras

* Complete reports including but not limited to daily written and/or electronic tracking sheets, noting all activity on premises

* Other duties and responsibilities as needed

**Basic Qualifications:**

**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent experience

* 2+ years experience in private or public security, law enforcement, or other governmental security agencies

* Knowledge of computer & office equipment and programs (Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)

**Additional Qualifications:**

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

* Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

* Ability to focus; attention to detail

* Ability to work effectively as team member, and independently

* Ability to communicate clearly and calmly

* Ability to remain calm in periods of high stress or unusual activity

* Ability to maintain confidentiality and absolute reliability and honesty

* Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching

* Able to pass a state mandated background check

* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
