SECONDARY SPECIAL EDUCATION ELA TEACHER START DATE: 9/3/2024SALARY: $54,000.00 (2023-2024 base salary), plus additional salary credit for appropriate prior experience, Masters Degree and Grad Credits. Excellent benefits are available. Responsible for all aspects of teaching including but not limited to the development and implementation of Next Generation Learning Standards/Curriculum, instruction, assessment, student supervision, home/school communication, etc. Serve as a collegiate team member in a dynamic 9-12, 12:1:1 special educational setting. Provide ELA instruction to high school students with learning disabilities and some behavior concerns. Maintain student records consistent with State and Federal regulations. Previous experience with students with emotional / behavioral disabilities preferred. Perform other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS:Must be New York State Certified Students with Disabilities 7 12 Generalist OR hold Permanent NYS Special Education Cert. K-12 AND be deemed HQ using the HOUSSE rubric in any or some combination of ELA OR Statement of Continued Eligibility (or limited extension) in ELA OR New York State Certified Students with Disabilities 7 12 with dual certification 7-12 in ELA. recblid to3trumrjaniqe5nvjubxzglyxh8ln
