Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking Sandblasters in partnership with a prominent client in Binghamton , NY within the Machining industry. Sandblaster Job Summary Pay: $ 1 9 .00 per hour 1 st Shift: 6am - 2:30 pm or 2 nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11pm / Mon. - Fri. Summary: A Sandblaster operates specialized machinery that fires high powered jets of sand at metal assemblies within a specialized sandblast room. The position is accountable for removing paint, grime, adhesives, rust, or imperfections to the surface of large metal structures to get it prepared for paint finishing. This position is a highly physical position that involves a degree of stamina and upper body strength. Sandblaster Responsibilities:
- Sandblast metal assemblies.
- Wear Personal Protection Equipment.
- Ensure safety while handling parts and operating equipment to avoid any possible damage to others as well as production.
- Performs minor equipment maintenance.
Sandblaster Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to read specific directions related to the product mix
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Must be able to work around and with chemicals and sand products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
