**Job Description:**

ARDEX Americas (), is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.

We are immediately hiring for a **FIELD** **SALES PROFESSIONAL, as part of our NEW YORK STATE team, with a preferred home office base of ALBANY or SYRACUSE.**

The successful individual will have a proven track record of developing and delivering new sales business opportunities, with installers, contractors, architects and ARDEX distributor partners. You will be a proficient business developer with exceptional customer follow up, lead generation experience, and the ability to close the sale. You will have a passion for the industry and enjoy delivering exceptional solutions to new and existing customers, through expert product advice, hands on product demonstrations, and product guidance.

This is a field sales position to cover Upstate New York, Duchess, Orange, West Chester, Putnam, Rockland, and Ulster Counties, with a focus on Albany and Syracuse. Up to 30% territory travel, including some overnight.

**Responsibilities:**

* Drive, develop, promote and grow sales of ARDEX products and systems throughout territory

* Develop and maintain solid working relationships with distributors, contractors, specifiers and other key business influencers

* Retain current accounts and prospect new business development

* Successfully launch and promote new products via hands on product demonstrations, presentations & professional product displays

* Collaborate with Corporate resources such Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics etc., to deliver exceptional standards of service to ARDEX customers

* Drive lead generation through jobsite visits, lead generation services, cold calls etc.

* Develop and successfully execute field sales action plans

* Achieve and exceed targets, goals and objectives, as established with Sales Manager

* Represent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards, and a 'customer first' approach.

**Experience and Skills:**

* Minimum 5 years outside sales experience and / or minimum 5 years knowledge of building materials industries is required.

* Knowledge of flooring installation systems is highly desirable

* Must be able to confidently and professionally conduct product presentations and demonstrations

* Must be able to operate non power and power tools. Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service

* Technically proficient. Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements

* High level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer-driven and professional

* Self-starter. Able to use initiative, work and adapt to a fast paced and changing market

* Able to make sound business decisions, influence, be assertive and close a sale

* Proficient in digital systems: Microsoft Word, Email, Internet, PowerPoint and CRM systems

* Must be able to lift to 70 pounds on occasion, with a carrying capability of 55 pounds

**Education:**

* Minimum four (4) year college degree or greater is preferred, OR minimum high school diploma with relevant industry work experience
