We are currently seeking several positions to join our Solar Team in Albany, New York; **The Sales Manager** will be a leader and coach in functional areas of sales, quality, efficiency and customer experience. This position **leads, motivates, tracks and oversees the sales team** by analyzing and implementing business processes, to ensure efficiency and maximize sales production and successful customers and teams.

**Essential Functions:**

* Supports sales team to drive operational logistics including optimizing resource allocation across teams, measuring progress against sales goals, and assisting in execution of key sales objectives.

* Evaluates and manages team members, resources and processes to complete a high volume of residential and small commercial solar projects to client standards.

* Motivates team members to achieve success and grow.

* Reviews new opportunities and reviews with management to lead team to profitable opportunities.

* Leads pricing and product/project strategies with management and to sales team to provide for profitable and growth orient projects and opportunities.

* Determines customer needs and how we can deliver quality service.

* Utilizes available data to optimize customer account targeting.

* Maintains a full understanding of all contractual obligations for all residential and commercial projects in varying areas.

* Builds and maintains tools to track Sales Leadership coaching and planning sessions with Sales team members.

* Works cross-functionally to ensure successful execution of key projects and identify opportunities for ongoing process improvements.

* Optimizes use of technology including our CRM and other sales enablement tools

* Manages and reports on customer data and salesperson data inclusive of sales history, pipeline management, and targeted prospects.

* Maintains relationships with current and future homeowners and organizations in community.

* Prepares presentations to review sales metrics with Senior Leadership.

* Overview and report sales compensation administration and planning, inclusive of commissions structure and reconciliation.

* Lead through and to a positive culture.

* Assists Senior Leadership with revenue generating projects and activities.

* Makes recommendations as changes occur in business drivers, reporting requirements, and organization structures, understanding the implications on the overall business.

* Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement

**Requirements:**

* Minimum 3+ years of sales and management experience, within industry or similar preferred

* Experience assessing and driving transformational improvements across sales teams

* Demonstrated aptitude for analytics with in-depth Excel knowledge

* Commitment to excellence and high standards

* Ability to smoothly handle a variety of situations and problems that may arise, sometimes several at a time, and either solve them or work with others involved to come to cooperative

* Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

* Ability to exercise strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

* Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with customers, colleagues and/or suppliers

* Ability to act as a flexible and innovative team player with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and a hands-on approach

* Proficiency with CRMs

* Ability to foster a cooperative work environment

* Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments
