The Sales Manager is responsible for the overall group revenue performance for the Hyatt Place Keystone. This positionis responsible for developing and executing aggressive and proactive sales plans for all market segments. As a Sales Manager you and will be relied upon to develop, partner and execute effective sales, marketing, revenue management strategies and support the hotels operational needs as necessary while implementing and incorporating Hyatt Brand Standards.

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, strategic self-starter who can work independently with little guidance. Excellent selling and presentation skills with an in-depth understanding and knowledge of group & ski wholesale business is a plus.

Primary responsibilities include evaluating, targeting & solicitation, negotiating and contracting group hotel business opportunities. Ensure proper and timely turnover to ensure for quality service delivery. Work with the Director of Sales, Revenue Optimization and Stakeholders to maximize the revenue potential across multiple lines of business. Drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Responsible for ensuring compliance with all brand requirements including training, special offers and RFP's.

* Actively solicits new business opportunities

* Preparing proposals, contracting and negotiating group business through proactive sales efforts using strong negotiating skills and creative selling techniques.

* Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, Tradeshows, etc.

* Develop relationships within the meetings and conventions community to expand customer base for future group business opportunities.

* Provide accurate, complete and timely turnover of definite business to the Service Team to help ensure quality service delivery providing a customer experience that exceeds the customers' expectations while driving repeat opportunities.

* Effectively utilizes SalesForce for customer contact, trace and file systems. Keeps all information current and updated with client notes including logging of sales activities (calls, meetings, etc) in each account.

* Work with Revenue Manager to produce accurate revenue forecast.

* Actively participate in weekly revenue meetings to develop effective pricing strategies.

* Meeting or exceeding individually assigned revenue production goals.

* Maintain high visibility, develops long-standing relationships within the local and Front Range meetings & event community to capture corporate, association and SMERF business to expand customer base for future group business opportunities

* Other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

**Required:**

* Proficient in Microsoft Office

* English proficiency

* Must be results driven with the ability to effectively manage hotel revenue performance

* Must have the ability to develop & execute detailed, effective and measurable sales action plans specific to market segments.

* Must have demonstrated problem solving and time management skills for the purpose of troubleshooting, prioritizing and quickly resolving sales issues.

* Ability and desire to perform outside direct sales which includes outside cold calls and telemarketing.

* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations.

* Ability to deal with management, associates, guests, and general public in a courteous, tactful and patient manner.

* Ability to work in a fast-pace, high energy and demanding work environment.

* Good understanding of revenue generation and profit/loss implications.

* Must have proficient skills with use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to use Internet to research potential business leads.

* Strong interpersonal skills needed to cultivate customer relations and work with associates of various levels and backgrounds.

* Client entertainment.

* Must have the ability and means to travel throughout designated markets and maintain valid driver's license.

* Desire to understand, embrace and support overall hotel operations.

**Preferred:**

* Four-year college degree strongly preferred

* Experience within Salesforce and Delphi FDC

The budgeted range starts at $50,000 - $71,800. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
