As a member of the IT team, you will play an integral role in designing, developing, maintaining, and modernizing specialized in-house applications to meet the needs of the company. Primary Responsibilities

Learn, develop, and maintain CCMA s ERP environment on the IBM Power i, which is primarily written in RPG.

Obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adhere to all organizational and departmental standards.

Collaborate with IT management and end-users to identify requirements and specifications for new application development, as well as for existing application enhancements.

Take ownership of projects from beginning-to-end of the software development lifecycle.

Modernize, refactor, migrate, redesign, and create documentation for legacy applications to prepare for increased demand and continued company growth.

Authorities

Attendance at IT related conferences and training functions.

Attendance and involvement at regularly held IT project status meetings.

Qualification Requirements

Extensive experience, in a business setting, building a proficiency with RPGLE (Free and Fixed Format) / CLLE / CLP / Display Files (with subfiles) / DDS and SQL Physical Files

Comfortable maintaining and migrating legacy RPG36 and OCL36 applications.

Competency with sub-procedures, service-programs, and modular programming.

DB2 SQL know-how building simple and complex queries/statements.

Capable of utilizing embedded SQL within RPGLE applications.

Proven understanding of relational database concepts and principles

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills able to communicate with proper business etiquette in person, over-the-phone, and via email.

Strong documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Self-starter with the drive to work independently on projects, or collaboratively within a team, under tight deadlines.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field - or relevant work experience

Work Location

Hybrid Work Schedule

Initially, the position requires on-site attendance 5 days per week at our Getzville, NY corporate office for comprehensive onboarding and training. Upon completion, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in the office and 2 days of remote work.

Fully Remote Work Consideration

While this is primarily a hybrid role, we are open to discussing a fully remote work arrangement for an exceptional candidate who demonstrates the ideal fit for our team and requirements.

Travel Minimal travel

Work Hours 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
