We continue to be on the leading edge of generator & renewable natural gas technology by manufacturing generator sets, biogas digesters, and renewable natural gas upgrading systems.RNG Service TechnicianThe RNG Service Technician provides technical support and assistance as part of a team primarily for the service and support of renewable natural gas sites based at dairy farms. Assist as needed with RNG system start-ups, commissioning, maintenance, & customer service, as well as possibly assist on Natural/Bio gas-powered generators and other supporting equipment as needed. These sites are a 24/7 operation. This is considered an entry level position, with advancement potential possible.Essential DutiesOperate/Maintain RNG biomethane compressors.Perform on-call maintenance as required.Inspect and repair sensors and instrumentation.Troubleshoot electrical and VFD's as required.Troubleshoot and repair HMI and PLC components.Assist with biogas powered generators as needed.Verifies and ensures unit's serviceability by following operational & service checklists.Maintains units' records by thoroughly recording service/ repair tasks and parts used.Transmits information and documents with work on computer and phone.Provides superior customer service.Performs all other duties as assigned.The main office for RNG Service is located in Batavia, NY. However, business travel across NY and the US required as needed.Travel to sites within specified work area on a daily basis. Travel around the US, possibly up to 50%, required.RequirementsExperienceIndustrial Electricity & Controls, Natural Gas Systems, Piping, air/ gas compressors.1-2 years of related experience preferred. Trade school graduate with industrial electrical focus. Engine technology also a plus.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesRequired:Must be able to travel to various locations.Performs all duties in a safe and effective manner according to the company's policies and procedures.Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.Motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills.Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision.Detail oriented and organized.Able to work under stress and meet deadlines.Able to handle frequent interruptions and handle conflict in an effective manner.Ability and willingness to learn new processes and business functions to facilitate the mission.Able to take initiative, exude enthusiasm and take pride in work.Verbal communication skills and confidence in dealing with a wide range of people.Organizational skills including time and resource planning.Able to work well within a team environment.Able to accept critique.Possess humility.Desire to consistently improve professional knowledge.Willingness to accomplish any assigned task to facilitate mission accomplishment.Understanding of standard and metric systems.Supply basic hand tools.Schedule:Monday to FridayOn call for nights and weekends as required.OvertimeTravel to sites within specified work area daily.
