Requirements
- BS/BA Degree in Biology or relevant field
- Growth Mindset and a willingness to approach feedback as an opportunity for growth and skill development
- Experience within a lab setting, Emergency Medical Technician, Clinician or relevant position
- Experience in operating standard laboratory equipment, point of care tests, and biohazardous materials
- HSE Systems, preventative measures and laboratory best practices
- Excellent physical condition and endurance
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
Responsibilities
- Receive training to conduct perfusion procedures on human lungs, livers, kidneys
- Learn surgical techniques and human anatomy while assisting surgeons with organ benching
- Operate clinical grade perfusion equipment
- Collect processing blood, biopsy, and urine/bile samples to build a one-of-a-kind database of isolated human physiology
- Test new lead assets in relevant human disease models
- Organize and store all chemicals substances and fluids according to safety instructions
- Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
- Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
