The role of the Registered Nurse at, a world renowned long term care organization located in Riverdale, North Bronx, is eligible for a prorated sign on bonus of $10,000 ($5,000 at end of Six (6) Months and $5,000 on (1) One year Anniversary, less applicable taxes). . This position assigns tasks and responsibilities within the framework of their scope of practice and provides care directions to the Licensed Practical Nurses and the Certified Nurse's Aides.
Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse will observe, record and report resident data according to policy and procedure. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Ensure that the appropriate documentation concerning unauthorized discharges is entered in the resident s medical record in accordance with established procedures. Assist the day-to-day activities performed by the licensed practical nurse and the certified nurse s aides.
Qualifications:
Must possess a current NYS RN license and registration, BLS certified, has graduated from an approved RN program, and has experience in a hospital/long-term care setting. Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and writing skills essential. Must be competent with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR).
