If you are caring, compassionate and have a true desire to help others we may be the perfect opportunity for you.This position offers a $2,500 Sign on Bonus!The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) specializing in orthodontics performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) works in conjunction with the Orthodontist making patients feel as comfortable as possible, prepare them for treatment, obtain their dental records and instruct patients on post-operative and general oral health care.Role and ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of orthodontic treatment procedures under the direct supervision of the OrthodontistSet up and breakdown operatory post treatmentTake, develop and mount dental radiographs (x-rays)Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipmentAdhere to all OSHA and safety policies and proceduresProvide patients with instructions for oral care following all orthodontic treatment proceduresEducate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health while undergoing orthodontic treatmentPerform various office tasks as necessaryAll other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisorQualifications and Education RequirementsRDA License is an absolute requirementDental assisting experience in orthodontics.X-Ray LicenseHigh School Diploma or equivalentDentrix experience preferred, but not required.
