Location: Remote, with willingness to travel

Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience as a database developer supporting mid to large-scale teams.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Redis Database Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Redis Database Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our Redis database infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Redis databases into our applications, and you will be responsible for performance tuning, troubleshooting, and maintaining the overall health of the Redis database environment. Must support a high-level of availability, accessibility, and be cloud-based where possible, and must perform the following Tasks:
Database Design and Architecture:
Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable Redis database solutions.
Collaborate with software engineers and architects to integrate Redis databases into applications.
Performance Tuning and Optimization :
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal database performance.
Implement caching strategies and other optimizations to enhance system efficiency.
Data Modeling :
Develop and maintain effective data models to support application requirements.
Ensure data integrity and consistency within the Redis database.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and address issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related problems in a timely manner.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security best practices for Redis databases.
Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
Backup and Recovery :
Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data.
Conduct periodic testing of backup and recovery processes.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and network engineers.
Participate in code reviews and provide guidance on database-related best practices.
Qualifications:
Must have experience with Redis-cli, Redis Desktop, or Redis Insight
Perform System and Software Engineering and Development using Node.js, including typescript for server-side development within Linux.
Proven experience as a Redis Database Developer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Redis database administration and optimization.
In-depth knowledge of database design principles and data modeling.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with security best practices for database systems.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with npm and VS code
Experience in Lunix/Unix
Experience with other database technologies (e.g., Oracle) is a plus.
Experience with Lua scripting is a plus.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Clearance Required: Candidate must be a US Citizen; and have at least a SECRET clearance.
