SUMMARY

The Assembler is responsible for the assembly of a variety of products, making operating tests and final adjustments. The Assembler will handle light and average weight parts, hand and power tools. The Highly Skilled Assembler will mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumonic, or hydraulic equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure all parts placed on the roller bed for assembly

Responsible for manually pulling all parts from inventory based on the job order

Assemble the parts based on the job order to form the Dry Freight body sides.

Assembling, installing, or removing body parts

Use a circular saw to cut sheets of plywood for installation to the interior walls of the unit

Use a band saw to cut e-track for installation to the interior walls of the unit

Installation of both the plywood and e-track with the use of a screw gun and rivet gun

Responsible for uncoiling roofing material, measuring and shearing material to size and installing onto top of truck body

Mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumonic, or hydraulic equipment

Use overhead catwalk

Fit parts into very close tolerances

Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED preferred

Willing to work overtime and varied shift assignments as required

Mechanical or Electrical experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:

Ability to work in hot or cold manufacturing floor environments
