The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Quality Technician to work out of its
state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The successful candidate will support quality functions including but not
limited to RMA and rejection investigation and disposition, customer support,
customer quality documentation, and monitor quality location inventories.
The key responsibilities of the Quality Technician include, but are not limited
to:
Technical support of customer quality issues/escapes in relation to RMAs
Product review and assist QE with disposition, containment, and work orders
Ability to communicate with customers via phone and email
Support of corrective action responses based on customer escape issues and
data
Maintain a working knowledge of product workmanship standards and quality
procedures manual
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specs, and documents
Determine rework and process work orders
Review of rejection trends and proactive problem-solving skills
Familiarity with quote and order processing
Hourly rate is $19.23 - $31.25/hour. This position is eligible for overtime
pay.

The Person -
The key skills and qualities of a Quality Technician at Amphenol Aerospace
Operations:
High school diploma and at least five years of applicable experience or an
associate degree in a technical curriculum and one year of experience in
manufacturing or manufacturing support is required
Equivalent education and experience are acceptable
Physical demands of the role include bending, sitting, typing, lifting, and
standing daily (up to 4 to 5 hours)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Data3 software
Incumbent must pass an annual eye exam, with or without corrective lenses
