Eaton's IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Quality Site Lead.The expected annual salary range for this role is $116250.03 - $185,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do:The Quality Site lead drives functional excellence for operations quality and supplier quality working within the regulatory frameworks associated with AS9100D and FAA/EASA/CAA standards. The role resides on the leadership team for the site and leads a team of quality engineers, inspection personnel, Nondestructive Testing personnel, and Supplier Quality personnel to drive performance improvement activity in product and process quality both internally and within the supply chain. This individual also promotes customer satisfaction using direct customer feedback to drive quality performance improvement in the eyes of the customer. The key output of the role is a highly performing Quality Management System (QMS) leading to a positive impact on the financial performance of the Business Unit (BU).
  • Align with Corporate quality direction and expectations for the Business Unit
  • Align with quality objectives for the BU, monitor and measure progress toward achievement of these objectives and facilitate development of action plans to address root causes negative trends and variances to the objectives
  • Accountable for the framework necessary to support the Quality Management System. Actively manage expectations and maintain existing certifications for AS9100D, FAA/EASA/CAA Repair Station (MIDO and FSDO) and FAA PMA (New Product) while serving as both the QMS representative for AS9100D and the FAA Accountable Manager
  • Promote a Quality and Continuous Improvement culture by driving ownership and accountability throughout the Business Unit.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and execution of short term tactical and long-term strategic plans to meet BU objectives
  • Define organizational and competency requirements to deliver quality objectives and expectations
  • Manage and develop operations quality, supplier quality and quality compliance team leaders and team members consistent with the competency requirements
  • Ensure appropriate quality processes and tools are in place and being utilized consistently across the organization, facilitating training (internal and external) as appropriate
  • Lead both Orchard Park, New York and Westminster, Maryland Quality Teams to achieve the Quality objectives and drive performance Improvement.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
  • Facilitate the PPAP requirements for new parts, suppliers, products, and transformational site project to make APQP a way of doing business.
  • Assuring 100% Product quality to customer through collaborating and consultancy with peers and functional leaders to establish best practices and by sharing the I own Quality message across all levels.
  • Ensure and promote customer engagement through effective communication and interactions.
  • Daily interface with Production Supervisors, Operators, Operations Support, at multiple sites on production/quality related issues
Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • BS from accredited institution
  • 10 years of combined Quality experience in complex manufacturing or assembly and test, preferably Aerospace
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with ensuring compliance to AS9100 and FAA/EASA/CAA standards
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder').
  • Relocation is not provided. All candidates must reside within 50 miles of Eaton's Orchard Park facility.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior site level quality or operations leadership and management of direct reports experienceA quality or CI credential; examples include ASQ certification, Six Sigma Green/Black/Master Black Belt, Shainin Red X, Lean Mfg.Experience in the development of internal and external Quality Audit programsExperience with quality tools and methodologies to drive quality performance improvementAbility to train, mentor, and coach individuals in problem solving techniques and quality improvement objectivesExtensive experience in managing quality engineering, supplier quality, quality compliance, and quality control functionsSkills:Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others.Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focusAbility to effectively present results and recommendations to senior-level executive team.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
