As our PR Manager, you will help develop and execute the PR & communications strategy for the opening of Belmont Park Village. You will ensure the optimal positioning of the Village in local, domestic, and international media, focusing on communication of the right image and message to the general consumer market, the press community, B2B communications, local tastemakers and industry leaders, etc.

What you will be doing

PR & Communications Strategy

  • Define the local, national, and international PR & communications strategy and roadmap for the opening of Belmont Park Village, from pre-opening, soft opening to grand opening, and beyond.
  • Develop and elaborate quantitative and qualitative PR & communications related objectives and KPIs to ensure that the strategy is in line with the business direction and aims at generating brand and location awareness, while ultimately driving footfall and sales.
  • Remain up to date on local market information, trends, and the NYC cultural landscape and analyze it regularly to understand the consumer behaviors, impact of promotional offers, special events, and potential brand partners, etc.
  • Help shape the direction of creative advertising, editorial content or partnerships with Marketing, to ensure the positioning of the Village is correct and visually engaging.
  • Manage the PR & communications budget; reforecast when necessary.
  • Manage external consultants and PR agencies of record on all day-to-day media activities, village PR strategy and event planning and media entertaining.
  • Brief and work with PR agencies to obtain well-placed, high quality editorial coverage in targeted press and media.
  • Play an active role in the introduction and delivery of the concept and the image of Belmont Park Village to the local and domestic press and media, in partnership with agencies of record.
  • Oversee the production and promotion of all Belmont Park Village press tools.
  • Create, grow and manage an internal media database.

Identifying Opportunities & Partnerships

  • Ideate, concept, and execute alongside Belmont Park Village marketing team, unique press and marketing campaigns, activations, events, and partnerships that introduce, promote and create brand equity and cultural relevance for Belmont Park Village and the Belmont Park Campus as a whole.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce and enhance Belmont Park Village s brand positioning; identifying ways to target new audiences and regularly generate new brand awareness, interest, and footfall.
  • Work alongside Belmont Park Village Retail Marketing teams to build, nurture and expand relationships with our Village brand s internal PR teams, keeping a constant flow of information, support, and awareness of all media-facing activities of our brand partners and identify ways to for Belmont Park Village inclusion, where applicable.
  • Develop relationships with key media influencers and industry leaders to identify opportunities to drive the VIP outreach program and relationships with Belmont Park campus brand ambassadors.
  • Work with brands and pop-up brands within the Village to maximize PR opportunities Work with the team to develop press events to promote the Village and oversee the production & promotion of these events.

General

  • Oversee the general PR calendar and briefings.
  • Lead the PR & Communications team and be responsible for the team s performance and development.
  • Monthly PR activity reports and PR efforts ROI.

  • Degree education in Marketing or Communications or equivalent qualifications is preferrable
  • Proven experience in a similar role, in-house or agency environment, with extensive exposure on retail-marketing, brand building and consumer events within the Fashion industry
  • Computer literate and high proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proven success working with press and media partners and agencies
  • Strong network of contacts in New York, US and globally within the creative classes including fashion, entertainment, retail, tech, art, design, etc.
  • Experience concepting, planning and executing large-scale events and activations with VIP talent and guest profile
  • Good project management and coordination skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional relationship building and management skills
  • Able to work well with all levels across the business
  • Demonstrate positivity and creativity under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize your work to meet tight and multiple deadlines
