This company's greatest strength is their people. They were founded on a set of core values and beliefs that express their responsibility to their customers, colleagues, and communities. Their culture and values match the culture of the military and they have hired and want to continue to hire veterans. Their culture promotes fun and laughter on a daily basis, believes in balanced lives: family, business and community and creates a positive work environment. They want candidates who are looking for careers and not just a job. There is plenty of room for upward mobility for people who want to really learn and build a career within this industry. They started a Military Transition Program (MTP) and they have been hiring veterans for Specialist, Installer and Technician positions in locations across the country. You will start your training in the area you are hired for, by shadowing an experienced technician. They also have a Service Specialist, role they are looking to hire for. In this role you will be responsible for installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire Alarm, Security, CCTV, Video and/or other Building Automation projects including small to large projects that vary in complexity. This location is currently hiring specialists who will need to use their IT, networking and electronic troubleshooting and repair skills to install and integrate systems; you may need to troubleshoot and repair electronic systems as well. You will also need to show you can assist in delivering assigned projects effectively and within budgeted cost and time schedules. At times, you may need to function as a key interface for technical support with the customer, training them on the installed systems and maximizing customer satisfaction, so communication and customer service skills are important for this role. The key thing they are looking for in this role is networking experience as you will be integrating systems. You will also need strong low voltage electronic system troubleshooting and repair experience. This location works mostly on security, access control and video systems. If you have these skills, they will train you on their systems, but make sure you let them know if you have alarm or security system experience. On top of this, they emphasized that you would need to show you are a problem solver who is a self-starter that takes initiative, has energy and excitement to be in this industry. This is primarily a day shift role where you head out to clients' locations in the morning and are back home at night most days. There is occasional overnight travel, but you will be given plenty of notice and it is rare.Their technicians average about 5 hours/week of overtime and you will also get on an on-call rotation once you are trained and up to speed. The on-call rotation is once every 5-6 weeks and you get 2 hours of overtime as a stipend, but also get a minimum of 4 hours of overtime for any call you go out on, no matter the duration. They also will be giving you a company vehicle. Base salary is DOE, and they offer full comprehensive benefits (ask for more details). Job 57278
