**Job Title:** Project Safety Manager

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
The Project Safety Manager is responsible for full-time on-site safety and occupational health management for the project. He or she will be designated as a competent person and be overall responsible for providing safety direction and ensuring adherence to all safety regulations, programs through coaching, training, visibility, gaining the trust of workers, and building a culture of personal awareness and accountability.
* Responsible for the production of daily inspections and maintains safety documentation.
* Conducts incident investigations and maintain OSHA 300 form.
* Attends construction progress meetings.
* Maintains a tracking system to monitor identified deficiencies and implement plans to ensure their resolution.
* Provides research, analysis, documentation, and ongoing advice to site management to ensure all tasks are performed safely.
* Ensures subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements.
* Recommends improved safety procedures and protocol.
* Schedules and executes safety training and tool talks.
* Conducts business with 100% integrity and professionalism**.**
**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:**
* 2+ years of Proposal Development Construction experience required.
* Working knowledge of government *(state, federal, and OFCCP)* contracting processes.
* OSHA 500 Trainer, HAZMAT 40, SST 62, CHST, and 40 Site Safety Managers Course.
* Confined space experience preferred.
* Experience in heavy civil construction industry preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to form excellent working relationships with all levels of employment.
* Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
**Physical Requirements:**
* Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
* Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
* Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
